Diet Sergeant — Privacy Policy

The short version: Diet Sergeant has no accounts and does not sell your data. Your inspection history stays on your phone. The only thing that leaves your device is the food photo you choose to inspect — sent to Google to generate the Sergeant's verdict.

What we process

• Food photos: When you inspect food, that photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI (via Firebase AI Logic) to identify the food and generate a response. Google processes it under its terms. We do not store your photos on any server we control.
• On-device data: Your inspection history, photo thumbnails, ranks, and streaks are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
• Abuse protection: We use Firebase App Check (Apple's App Attest) to verify that requests come from the genuine app. This uses a device-generated attestation, not your personal identity.
• Notifications: If you allow them, we schedule local reminders on your device.

What we don't do

• No account or signup. No login.
• No selling or sharing your data with advertisers.
• No tracking you across other apps or websites.

Third parties

• Google / Firebase processes your food photos and provides the AI. See Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Children

Diet Sergeant is not directed at children under 13.
